Zoe is finally the Queen of the House again and she is so happy! This senior lady has always been the Queen at her home until her dad of 13 years had to move to a nursing home and couldn’t take sweet Zoe with him. He was destroyed and so was she. Obviously, she didn’t do well in a shelter environment so P.W. Humane Society transferred her to our Adopt Shop where we provided her with as much freedom and loving and cuddling as possible. But even that wasn’t enough for this truly loved and spoiled senior citizen. She wanted a home to call her own.
Zoe is just one of hundreds of Seniors 4 Seniors dogs and cats that P. W. Humane Society has saved from euthanasia and helped to find forever homes. Senior pets are among the most difficult to place into new homes because of the misconception that they are old and will die soon. The truth is that they still have a lot of life left and so much love to offer. They are grateful for the second chance and opportunity to live their life with someone who cares for and loves them. Please consider a senior pet next time you adopt.
Zoe was with P.W. Humane Society Adopt Shop for several weeks and then a wonderful woman stepped forward to foster her and give her a
“home” where she could thrive. Only 10 days later we got the call that Zoe had found her forever home and she was adopting her. We are thrilled for this sweet senior lady and her new mom and we wish them all the best. We thank all those who support this wonderful program and ask for your continued support to help more Zoe’s.
